"Honor for our beliefs." Personally, I don't feel as though suicide bombers are soldiers who are serving a Country selflessly as do American Soldiers(Did I say selfless? I meant for $$$). There is a recurring warcry and undertone within this society we are fighting and it is one of religion, god, and ultimately salvation. Suicide bombers don't blow themselves up with the belief their lives end there...they do it believing that they are increasing their chances of having a happy afterlife. How can that be compared to an American Soldier who probably doesn't feel that their duty is decreasing their chances for such a salvation, but rarely do they feel as though their duty is one that will increase their chances for salvation. I don't respect altruism that doesn't even attempt to hide it's selfish core, but rather promotes it as a recruiting tool.

Anyone who thinks there is any logic driving suicide bombers; that they are anything but brainwashed tools of their sick perverted leaders has serious issues.

Well, in reading your article and the comments posted, I felt as though everyone has touched on some respectable points. I believe that the suicide bombers are ignorant to most circumstances and follow the only beliefs that they were taught to know. As you can see, a rather frail mind is needed to pursue such extremes, no one ever sees a leader of the terrorists groups succumbing their lives for such beliefs. No, instead, they command and call on those who want to feel worthy of some sort of "honor".
